Possible casino in Northern Ireland

The new year always brings a raft of interesting information about statistics and one of those is a report in the Irish casino news that some places are luckier than others when it comes to gambling but it is not clear whether that includes online casinos or not. The report unfortunately does not cover Irish casino players as it is UK based where the North East is claimed to be the luckiest place with more lottery millionaires per head of population than anywhere else. Northern Ireland is included in the list and they are supposed to be the biggest gamblers according to the Irish casino news but also have the worst luck but again this does not include online casinos. Surprisingly to casinos.ie Londoners gamble the least but that could be a function of disposable income. It would be interesting to see figures for online casino play only and for Ireland to see if one area is better or luckier than others but who could or would produce such a report is unknown. Talking of Northern Ireland the Irish casino news also has reports of a possible casino complex in Belfast which would be run by the Rank Group. Casinos are illegal in Northern Ireland which is a bit of nonsense as online casinos are not illegal so any development would require a change in the law but there are moves afoot to present legislation next year. Proponents of the scheme suggest in the Irish casino news that a casino could provide employment for up to 200 people as well as being a construction project of over €20 million. It seems that the South could be lagging despite all the reports of possible changes in our own legislation but fortunately online casinos are still legal and provide great entertainment for many people.
